Dauphin Island Birding

Prothonotary Warbler
We took a trip to Dauphin Island off the coast of Alabama. Dauphin Island is a barrier island and one of the first places a bird encounters when flying to the north across the Gulf of Mexico. Many migrating birds stop here. We thought we'd meet them half way on their trip to NJ.
The birding was pretty good and the folks were pretty friendly. This post has some new birds for us. We'll post a few more photos of our trip when we have time this week.
